Calve Island

Providing shelter for Tobermory Bay from the Sound of Mull, Calve Island is separated from Mull by a tidal channel, the island is a mile (1.5 km) in length.

Underwater there is a popular dive site, excellent for scallops, and diving the wreck of The Pelican one of the first steel ships.

Local stamps were issued for Calve Island in 1984 bearing the image of dogs, they were legal tender in the UK.
